Class Clowns Take 2

A real world example of the forces described below, from the young neocon golems at the Stanford Review:

Apparently, all it takes to be a "conservative woman" (at Stanford, no less) is a disturbingly low threshold for nuance:
Bush isn't Hitler
The rich don't eat babies
Raising taxes is bad
US troops killing terrorists is good
And, obviously, a nice pair of tits.

As soon as I read that the second-place award is called "Libertarian Looker," my head exploded.

Granted, it *is* a beauty contest, but still. Explodo-head, c'est moi.

Yeah, Bakerina, it's time for the blood thinners. Nice how they employ the PC "persecuted minority" trope simultaneously with the wet T-shirt aesthetic, as if discrimination has resulted in a troublingly short supply of Victoria's Secret models.

Hooter's: the conservative woman's ACLU.

fascinating free-thinkers? did i read that right?
because, as a fascinating free thinker, all i'm left with is 'wtf'? on a more anecdotal evidence note (thas all i'm good for y'know), discussion came up at dinner last night, with my 18-year-old cousin. apparently the young ones now are actually out to 'look like ho's, 'ho it up' as it were. despite feeling disturbingly old, i was also frightened. have they been sold a bill of goods, these young girls? growing up on the man show and hooters and inane idiotic female sports commentators asking decidedly 'dumbed down' questions of athletes. Ugh. I gotta go make some pecan tarts now. I'm not sure how I feel. and, more confusion, last i checked wasn't this 'libertarian' thing more of a democratic way to go? -thank you in advance for your help in clearing some of this up. will send baked goods.-G.

C, I forgot to mention how much I loved the phrase "young neocon golems." Keep writing like that, and I'll be too busy laughing to gnash my teeth in frustration.

(Okay, that may be a bit much to ask. But it's good to give the teeth-gnashing a break.)

It worries me greatly that I'm getting so old that my disgust over her politics now completely dissipates the pleasurable fog that should be induced looking at her cleavage.
